A Different Route to GCSE Success

Specialist GCSE education for Year 10 and Year 11 students who need a smaller, more supportive learning environment.

Inclusion Compass Education Centre provides English and maths GCSE teaching in classes of no more than six students.

Before teaching begins, every student receives an individual learning assessment. This helps us understand how they learn best, identify any barriers to learning and ensure that appropriate support and reasonable adjustments are in place from the very first lesson.

Our aim is simple: to help students rebuild their confidence, achieve meaningful GCSE qualifications and leave with a clear pathway into further education, training or an apprenticeship.

We Know That Not Every Young Person Thrives in a Large Classroom

Some young people are capable of achieving GCSEs but find it difficult to learn in a busy mainstream environment. They may have lost confidence, struggled to access the right support or started to believe that GCSEs are no longer within their reach.

Inclusion Compass offers a different route. We will provide a calm and supportive environment where students are understood, teaching is adapted to how they learn best and they can begin to believe in themselves again.

Why Inclusion Compass Is Different

We understand how each student learns

Every student will complete a learning assessment before attending their first lesson. This will give their teachers a clear understanding of their strengths, the areas they find more difficult and the approaches most likely to help them learn.

Support will be in place from day one

We will not wait for a student to struggle before putting support in place. Teaching will be planned around each student’s learning profile, and appropriate reasonable adjustments will be considered from the beginning.

Classes will never have more than six students

Our classes will be limited to six students. This means teachers will have the time to explain, revisit and adapt learning while making sure that every student receives the attention they need.

Teachers will be carefully selected

Our teachers will be selected for their subject knowledge, experience and ability to work successfully with young people who may have found education difficult in the past.

Examination fees are included

We will help with examination registration, and relevant GCSE entry fees are included in the programme. We will also consider access arrangements and reasonable adjustments where appropriate. Where approved, students will sit their examinations in a smaller, calmer environment.

We will help students prepare for what comes next

Students will have one hour of employability teaching every week. This will help them understand their options, develop essential workplace skills and build a clear pathway into further education, training or an apprenticeship.
